Emotional Regulation for Men

Anger isn't the problem—it's what you do with it. This 8-week group goes beyond traditional anger management to help you understand what's really driving your reactions, regulate your emotions in the moment, and communicate what you actually need. We'll address triggers, thought patterns, practical skills, masculinity, trauma, and shame—the real work beneath the anger. This isn't about suppressing emotions or white-knuckling through life. It's about responding intentionally and becoming who you want to be.

Focus Areas:

Week 1: Understanding Anger – The anger iceberg, triggers, and early warning signs

Week 2: Mastering your Thoughts – How thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect

Week 3: The Anger Escalation Cycle – Your personal pattern and how trauma shapes reactions

Week 4: Expanding Emotional Awareness – Naming emotions beyond anger and challenging conditioning

Week 5: Managing your Emotions – Grounding, Wise Mind, TIPP skills, and opposite action

Week 6: Trauma and Anger – Identify how traumatic experiences impact your emotions

Week 7: Conflict Resolution – Expressing needs, I-statements, de-escalation, repair, and genuine apology

Week 8: Who You Want to Be – Relapse prevention and moving forward

Details:

Who: This group for men, ages 18 and over. Limited to 8 members for a closed group experience where trust and connection can actually develop. Prior to joining, group members will be expected to complete a 15 minute consultation phone call to ensure this group.

When: This is a virtual group meeting weekly for 8 weeks, 90 minutes per session. Groups are held every Monday at 6:30pm.

Cost: The cost is $50 per group session or $350 for the entire group if you pay in advance.

What to Expect: It's collaborative—not a lecture. You'll share experiences, learn from other men, practice skills, and build accountability. All participants will receive a copy of the Beyond Anger Workbook.
